Royals and survivors remember victims of terrorism in first national day – watch live
Friday marks the UK’s first National Day for Victims and Survivors of Terrorism.
The day is expected to focus on recognising those affected by terror acts, encouraging survivors to access specialist support, spotlighting their stories and educating the public.
Watch the ceremony in central London as it brings together victims, survivors, bereaved families, emergency responders and government representatives, who will observe a two-minute silence.
Prime Minister Andy Burnham has said the day is a “moment to remember the loved ones lost and anyone who has survived the very worst of humanity” while security minister Dan Jarvis says “we will never allow terrorism to divide us”.
