Hundreds missing in Nepal-Tibet flash floods

At least a dozen Britons are among nearly 400 people missing after Nepal was hit with flash floods.

The torrents, which hit Rasuwa, just north of Kathmandu, early on Wednesday, have already killed at least 17 people, police said.

Of the at least 384 missing travellers, 291 are foreign nationals, including 12 Britons, three Americans and 105 Indians, according to the country’s tourism board.

The Bhotekoshi river flooded at around 9am on Wednesday, sweeping away several villages as well as roads and hydropower projects, officials said.
