{"id":1952,"date":"2026-03-31T22:12:30","date_gmt":"2026-03-31T22:12:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/videos\/1952\/"},"modified":"2026-03-31T22:12:30","modified_gmt":"2026-03-31T22:12:30","slug":"what-do-we-know-of-the-allegations-against-scott-mills","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/videos\/1952\/","title":{"rendered":"What do we know of the allegations against Scott Mills?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title = \"What do we know of the allegations against Scott Mills?\"   width=\"580\" height=\"385\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8cbsk3xySD4\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n<br \/>\nWhat do we know of the allegations against Scott Mills?<br \/>\n<br \/>\nMore details about the allegations of serious sexual offences against Scott Mills, the now former presenter of the Radio 2 Breakfast show, have raised questions about what the BBC knew, if anything, and when.<\/p>\n<p>Today London&#8217;s Metropolitan police say his alleged victim was under sixteen. <\/p>\n<p>Separately, the BBC received unspecified allegations about Radio DJ Scott Mills &#8220;messaging someone inappropriately&#8221; last year, but did not ask further questions, a journalist has said.<\/p>\n<p>Former presenter Anna Brees told The Telegraph she got in touch with the BBC in May 2025 to say she had received information about alleged \u201cinappropriate communications\u201d involving Mills.<\/p>\n<p>The incident is not related to allegations of &#8220;serious sexual offences&#8221; against a teenage boy that Mills, 53, was investigated for in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Brees said: &#8220;Someone who knew I used to work for the BBC volunteered some information about Scott Mills messaging someone inappropriately.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was a credible source and I was concerned so I decided to contact the BBC to make them aware of it and see if they came back with anything.
