The State Opening of Parliament is a day of royal pomp and pageantry as The King kicks off a new parliamentary session in the House of Lords. The King and Queen will leave Buckingham Palace in his state coach late morning, making his way to parliament in a procession led by the Household Cavalry. After arriving at parliament, he&#8217;ll don the imperial state crown and ceremonial robes.
