{"id":70592,"date":"2026-08-01T11:15:18","date_gmt":"2026-08-01T11:15:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/videos\/70592\/"},"modified":"2026-08-01T11:15:18","modified_gmt":"2026-08-01T11:15:18","slug":"uefa-lost-confidence-in-gianni-infantinos-leadership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/videos\/70592\/","title":{"rendered":"UEFA &#8216;lost confidence&#8217; in Gianni Infantino&#8217;s leadership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title = \"UEFA &#039;lost confidence&#039; in Gianni Infantino&#039;s leadership\"   width=\"580\" height=\"385\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/I_dq3tu18AM\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n<br \/>\nUEFA &#8216;lost confidence&#8217; in Gianni Infantino&#8217;s leadership<br \/>\n<br \/>\nUEFA, Europe&#8217;s governing football body, has released a statement saying it has &#8220;lost confidence&#8221; in Gianni Infantino.<\/p>\n<p>It said the &#8220;shabby, back room, opaque deal he hatched and tried to force through was anything but transparent&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>It comes after the FIFA boss was forced to scrap his plans to sell off a stake in the World Cup after global backlash. <\/p>\n<p>UEFA earlier threatened that its members would boycott FIFA competitions if the plans were not abandoned, with the AFC and CONCACAF joining its opposition.<\/p>\n<p>It said it welcomed FIFA&#8217;s decision to withdraw the plan and thanked the &#8220;fans, leagues, clubs, players, individuals, associations and confederations that opposed the scheme&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The statement said:  &#8220;We cannot keep going on like this with secret schemes on fast track timescales, cooked up by faceless individuals and of dubious benefit to the game.
