He argues that long-term benefits claimants who are fit to work should provide 20 hours of work each week for their local community, while also backing the principle of “no British citizenship, no entitlement.” He also discusses the history of the welfare state and why he believes the original social contract described by William Beveridge has been broken.

Jenrick also takes aim at the Conservatives’ welfare proposals, accusing Kemi Badenoch and Mel Stride of offering “paper-thin ideas” and arguing that only major reform can address the scale of the problem. GB News Chief Political Correspondent Katherine Forster also challenges Jenrick over the practicalities of Reform UK’s plans, including whether Brexit arrangements would have to be renegotiated to deliver the proposed changes.

#breaking #reformuk #robertjenrick

Keep up to date with GB News at gbnews.com or on X @GBNEWS

Become a Friend of GB News: gbnews.com/friend

‘Moral and economic CATASTROPHE!’ | Reform UK’s Robert Jenrick BLASTS benefits Britain Reform UK Treasury spokesperson Robert Jenrick…

[417
473,4749,64402,236,41593,442,471,472,2368,44315,31,474,326,247,64004,325,4040,475,333,3870,279,235
post-78338","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-gb-news","tag-analysis","tag-benefits","tag-benefits-britain","tag-breaking-news","tag-foreign-nationals","tag-gb-news","tag-gb-news-live","tag-gbn","tag-kemi-badenoch","tag-mel-stride","tag-news","tag-news-update","tag-nigel-farage","tag-politics","tag-reform-latest","tag-reform-uk","tag-reform-uk-latest","tag-reports","tag-richard-tice","tag-robert-jenrick","tag-uk","tag-world-news
["GET
