Half of university students report loneliness | Yle News

I’m not a student nor am I in the university, but I report loneliness, too.
Finland is a very lonely place to live. Especially if you’re an introvert, like myself.
This is purely anecdotal experience, but based on seeing most of my peers social media and of my own experiences, it may seem like students are quite outgoing. Though what I’ve noticed from these student events is that, much of the social interactions may be more superficial than creating a genuine friendships? So the lack of closeness creates this feeling of loneliness, despite being outgoing or being extroverted. I don’t know if I’m making sense, just my personal experience.
