You know, very hard to negotiate he only does the deals that he wants to make, he managed to keep the players you see the situation of Harry Kane he kept Harry Kane year after year after year after year then when he made the decision to let him go in the last year of his contract uh he also fought for fantastic conditions. He’s a very clever person in the way he keeps the players in the way he puts the players on the market. Son is very important for Tottenham I think at every level not just at the football level also at the commercial level what he represents to the club so one of the most important players of the club for not just for the last decade for history but unfortunately you look to it and he doesn’t have a medal”***

2. Mourinho hates Levy as do many Spurs supporters. Son could have gone to Saudi during the summer transfer window, but opted to stay.
   A lot of changes this offseason for Spurs. Ange has come out and said a lot of players need to go, even good ones. I’m very curious who goes, but even more so as to who they want to bring in. If they continue to struggle to get this right next season, it will be interesting to see how long Ange lasts.

3. Son could have let his contract run out as well but didn’t. Maybe some players prefer comfort over trophies.

4. Whilst I think he’s dipped a little bit this year, he was definitely world class around 2020-2022. If he wanted to move to those clubs considered a level above, he probably missed his chance Summer 22. Being on the wrong side of 30, (32 soon) he is unlikely to get picked up by any of those Elite tier clubs now. Kane was much more of an exception because he was the best ST in the world so was worth the risk.

5. I’ve often wondered why his name doesn’t get mentioned around transfer windows. I assumed his agent was quite firm on a not for sale. He should move though, he’s incredible and would win trophies.

6. The first and the last time I agree with Mourinho, I’ve always wondered why Son and his agent decided to stay at Tottenham even though many clubs were interested in him.

7. Too good for spurs. Waiting on his old partner in crime to give him a call, perhaps.

8. It was his choice to sign those contract extensions. If he wanted to win trophies, he would’ve run his contract down like Kane did.

Weren’t Spurs always incredibly generous towards Son and allowing him to play in the Asian games and stuff even mid season which eventually let him win his exception from serving military duty in South Korea? He probably loves the club and feels a huge amount of debt to them for giving him the chance to continue his career and not lose years of his prime to military service and is more than happy to continue on with the club.
