Is your girlfriend a badger?
Been reading a lot of nature fiction this year, just picked up Ring Of Bright Water and A Black Fox Running after finishing Brendon Chase. All of Denys Watkins-Pitchford’s books start with the same quote;
“The wonder of the world, The beauty and the power. The shapes of things, Their colours, lights and shades, These I saw. Look ye also while life lasts.”
We are really lucky, It can be so easy to forget that nature has so many perfect designs. I got so excited earlier when a wild Herb Robert popped up in the wild bit of my garden.
Walked my dog along the river Medway earlier. It was stunningly pretty.
Best time of year I think, late May early June, not too warm, flowers everywhere
The local park, after the last load of rain, was verdant and positively swollen with life. The spring air smells like nothing else. Best season to enjoy our countryside, for sure.
