Those proposals are: (1) “universal tariffs,” (2) “lower interest rates,” (3) “lower taxes,” and (4) “limits on immigration.”
Tariffs will make things more expensive Interest rates will cause higher inflation Lower taxes more inflation Limits on immigration I guess djt is trying to curb demand. But insufficient Yep djt is definitely going to cause more inflation
Tariffs on literally everything, and stifling ones on Chinese imports. Likely sparking trade wars with allies and adversaries alike. Weakening the fed and letting Trump influence interest rates solely for his own political gain. Weakening the US dollar against other currencies. Mass deportations of productive members of the workforce. More tax cuts for the wealthy, further exploding the wealth gap. Repealing Biden’s spending on revitalizing infrastructure and US manufacturing. Economists predict these policies would likely be disastrous for the US economic recovery.
We have high inflation now, we will have high inflation then… He’s more crazy than Biden so yeah probably worse, but it’s bad now too.
How will (1) “universal tariffs,” (2) “lower interest rates,” (3) “lower taxes,” and (4) “limits on immigration.” have any impact on inflation? Inflation is always and everywhere a monetary phenominum so unless he is planning to increase deficits I don’t see inflation on the horizon. However, between now and then Biden intend to increase deficits. It is expected his 2024 deficit will be $1.5 Trillion which will have to be paid for with printed money.

Lower interest rate will stimulate the economy which will reduce inflation.
Lower taxes will increase revenue (as it did in 2017) which will reduce inflationary pressure unless Congress increase spending.
I have no idea what an immigration limit would have on inflation?
BTW Trump’s Drill Baby Drill policy will be deflationary as it lowers oil prices.

I’m not fan of Powell, but any president doing that would cause chaos and an economic collapse.
