Iran state TV asks people to delete Instagram, WhatsApp from phones • FRANCE 24 English

good afternoon to you Dalo as you said last night Donald Trump in the middle of the night at 2:30 in local time uh said that all uh citizens of Teron evacuate immediately uh it was at the middle of the night but the people heard the message and a lot of people got out in morning so Tan is a ghost town basically uh it’s very eerie it’s very strange to walk in a city that used to be so crowded so lively and it’s very depressing uh but uh the latest situation on the ground is that the Iranian state TV has asked the people to uninstall and delete Instagram and WhatsApp from their phones saying that based on the intelligence they have received WhatsApp has been geoloccating and tagging people based on the information that they have shared on the on the platform and they are giving that to Israeli intelligence agencies okay so that that’s the way that people are keeping in touch with those outside the country the diaspora and now they’re telling them to take that off so it’s interesting we’ll see if people actually listen to that uh now yesterday say at around this time there were reports coming in that the Wall Street Journal was reporting uh that um Iran had reached out to some of the regional players to uh sort of get back to the negotiating table with the United States uh where are we on that front in terms of uh can negotiations with uh Washington be salvaged uh no Delano the sources that I have spoken to have strongly denied the reports coming out in fact the Iranian president spoke minutes ago with UAE’s Muhammad benzad saying that the region will not see calm uh if the Israeli aggressions won’t stop so if you’re going in that direction I think the Iranian playbook is that u suppose they’re going to the negotiations table with Trump and sign the deal that he is offering giving up zero enrichment giving of enrichment program in entirety having zero enrichment giving up ballistic missiles and military program and then what if Israel attacks Iran and Iran ends up with nothing because it doesn’t have any longrange ballistic missiles that’s the Iranian mindset right now uh they’re far from uh any sort of uh agreements with the US or with Israel now yesterday when uh Donald Trump left the G7 summit uh to go back to Washington early there were fears that America could potentially join uh Israel this is something that Israel wants to join its effort its military offensive uh against Iran uh what are they talk us through those fears s do we still have you i I heard you say that the connection is Yes could Yes yes yes could did you hear my question uh no could you come again please uh there were fears when Donald Trump left the G7 summit early that America was potentially going to join the military offensive against Iran that doesn’t seem to have happened for now but talk us through those fears that what happens what are Iranians saying about America’s potential involvement uh as Israel would like to see happen i’ve got to say that fear was the key element to many tanranis leaving the city because uh up until then they had they were thinking to themselves uh tan is is bigger than New York and uh it cannot be flattens like Gaza but if what if uh the US joins in there will be a lot of more ammunitions and there will be a lot of places that the US will hit and uh potentially the Gaza style flattening that Israel has been doing so or will happen to Thran that is why many Tanis left the city i think it the the key element here the key motivation was that fear and panic that struck people in the middle of the
