  1. It’s all fun and games until Houston gets washed away.

  2. We’re on a speeding train without brakes. I would just get a drink at this point.

  3. I think to truly have a big enough impact on climate, pretty much all of human society needs to slow down and consume less and pollute less. But, no one wants to slow down unfortunately

I don’t agree that we should do nothing and not worry about it. It’s a matter of degrees now (how bad do we want things to get and how prepared can be be)

  4. It’s sad, but it’s gonna take a mass casualty event, driven directly by climate change, before people wake up ☹️😔

  5. Yeah, I like her Cartoons, I follow her on the Grauniad 👍🏻

  6. Context for those who didn’t click on the link, this is a satirical cartoon about frogs boiling in a pot of water. The headline makes it sounds like it’s denialism but it’s not.

  7. There is one thing that gives me suspicion that climate change might be a hoax – the fact that as a global society, we are doing almost nothing. And it just blows my mind. This is an actual existential threat. Billions of lives are on the line. It just confounds me that people can see where we are headed and not take it seriously. It makes me wonder if people of today really are fundamentally different from people from the start of the century. We used to have revolutions.

  8. November 2025: 6 weeks and 6 days left till 2026 folks; then we get to do this all over again. 🚩🌎👀

  9. Funny cartoon and actually reflective of reality. We have destruction all around us, clearly fueled by climate change, and nobody really cares. Our species is just so damn dumb and irresponsible.

  10. For some context, it’s the middle of November in central Saskatchewan, we should have snow on the ground.

By this time when I was a kid we would have a good amount of ground cover by now and it’s going to be spring it’s the issue, we depend on the winter snow for spring moisture for the planting season.

Without that farmers lose top soil wind because of the low water content, this leads to lower yields year over year. This pushes farmers to replace that nutrition loss with more and more chemicals.

Cascade effects are cool to observe in a kind of frightening way as I look out to a very brown and dry landscape

  11. I stopped worrying. Not procreating and I’m just going to have to live with what happens, just like with AI.

  12. Amazon forest felled to build road for climate summit

A new four-lane highway cutting through tens of thousands of acres of protected Amazon rainforest is being built for the COP30 climate summit in the Brazilian city of Belém.
It aims to ease traffic to the city, which will host more than 50,000 people – including world leaders – at the conference in November.

The state government touts the highway’s “sustainable” credentials, but some locals and conservationists are outraged at the environmental impact.
The Amazon plays a vital role in absorbing carbon for the world and providing biodiversity, and many say this deforestation contradicts the very purpose of a climate summit.

Along the partially built road, lush rainforest towers on either side – a reminder of what was once there. Logs are piled high in the cleared land which stretches more than 13km (8 miles) through the rainforest into Belém.

Diggers and machines carve through the forest floor, paving over wetland to surface the road which will cut through a protected area.

  13. I’m dumb and ignorant about climate change. Please educate me like I am dumb and ignorant so I can know how climate scientists made those predictions.
