* Female Respondent File: Public Use
* Male Respondent File: Public Use
The data was analyzed with SPSS and the chart created with Excel. The variable POT12 reflected marijuana smoking by the respondent over the previous 12 months. Other forms of marijuana use were not included in the survey.
I suspect as people get older, they turn to edibles so they won’t be inhaling smoke and won’t reek of the distinctive odor…
I would be interested in seeing the statistics 60+. I’m a Gen X guy and growing up whenever you smoke pot it always become out of a hippie or a stoner Van. I live in Florida now and I rarely smell pot outside of grocery stores and it’s usually like some oxygens just smoking Doobie, get the munchies and then going shopping inside Publix. I swear for every 50 boomers I see smoking out. I only see like one stoner.

I would love to see this for Michigan and include edibles. I swear half of the geriatrics here are doing edibles and loving it.
Wow high percentages. And that doesn’t account for the other usage methods. It’s much better than alcohol so not a bad thing
There’s a survey at the bottom of the linked article, but the survey doesn’t list “I don’t smoke” as an option.
Sure makes you wonder about the attention to detail in this survey.
It really goes to show that your worldview is shaped by those around you. I’m Gen Z and everybody I know drinks and none of my friends smoke weed which is the opposite of all of these trends.
