Nestlé India delivered a robust financial performance for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, registering a 47.9% year-on-year increase in net profit to Rs 975.1 crore. The FMCG major achieved this bottom-line expansion while significantly ramping up its brand-building efforts, with advertising expenditures increasing by over 40% year-on-year to consolidate brand equity across its core categories.
Total revenue from operations surged 25.4% year-on-year to Rs 6,363.3 crore, anchored by strong volume-led demand across urban and rural markets. Domestic sales grew 25% to Rs 6,073 crore, while export revenues rose 35.6% despite prevailing global market volatility. Operational profitability remained resilient, with EBITDA reaching Rs 1,538.1 crore—maintaining a healthy margin profile of 24.2% despite elevated marketing inputs.
Performance across product categories was uniformly strong, with all four major business segments posting double-digit growth. Powdered and liquid beverages, led by Nescafé, recorded a 20th consecutive quarter of double-digit expansion, driven by deeper coffee penetration and premium offerings. Confectionery benefits from accelerated e-commerce adoption and premiumisation, while the prepared dishes segment—anchored by Maggi—expanded through deeper distribution networks in semi-urban and rural channels.
Digital channels continued to gain market share, with quick commerce emerging as a high-growth vertical for impulse and convenience purchases. The company backed this momentum with dedicated, platform-specific packaging variants alongside targeted on- and off-platform media campaigns, while out-of-home and organized retail channels sustained strong double-digit trajectories throughout the quarter.
