It would be funny if Qt (a framework on top of which KDE is built) once again tried to close its source code. Last time, KDE developers claimed they wouldn’t be able to continue developing KDE if that happened. Sovereign tech based on not-so-sovereign technology.
Are they also funding GNOME?
That would seem like the better choice given it’s the default window manager of the major enterprise distros and actually fully open. Also just generally better IMO.
