In albania we call this „kos“. It has a thick consistency, but I wouldn’t really describe this as creamy, it is rather airy. Not super high in fat, like 3% or 4%.

Is this a thing in turkey? If so, how is it called? Are there any brands that sell this in a supermarket?
Thank you for your help!

  1. I think ev or köy yoğurdu would be the closest. They are usually thicker and tangier than regular yogurt.

  2. You’ll need to find a local shop that sells fresh dairy product or “organik” product, “manda yoğurdu” (buffalo yogurt) is probably the closest yogurt to the one you looking for and I think it would satisfy you.

  3. Any yogurts you buy here will be like this texture, some more denser than others. We don’t sell creamy yogurts (unless you buy “çırpılmış yoğurt” which you will find very rarely)

  4. You can buy any of “kaymaklı” ones but if taste matters for you i can suggest 2 brands. If you like sour taste of homemade yogurts you must buy “Silivri Arslan” but you don’t you must prefer “Sütaş kaymaklı”.
