Not seeing 7 figure compensations for each worker or anyone going to prison, so why should businesses care?
If we steal from a company, we go to jail. Why not bosses? Make people personally fucking terrified of stealing from employees, and everyone in the chain will suddenly be very eager for employees to be properly paid.
I hope theres a restorative mechanism for the debt they may have incurred as a result of being underpaid.
Here’s the top 20 employers not paying minimum wage – see two UK Gov suppliers are listed: Serco and G4S have contracts with UK GOV for prison services as well as other duties.

The absolute nerve of Five Guys paying their staff less than minimum wage when they’re charging twenty quid for a mediocre burger and chips.
I’ve always wondered how they’ve stayed in business. Now we know.
Yep most of them are care groups as well which charge a fortune to the people using the services have the fat cats milking it at the top and pay sod all to the main workers why anyone want to work for them is beyond me.

Before they brought in their final hero commie boss move AKA n.m.w we had electronics factories in our town. Afterwards, we had none, as they all relocated to China after labour costs doubled overnight.
It’s my hypothesis if we didn’t have n.m.w we wouldn’t have millions on welfare refusing to do these underpaid jobs. They’d be lapping them up and asking for more.
Jesus, this isn’t big evil companies intentionally setting up employment contracts for less than minimum wage.
The boring reality is a series of technical issues over payroll quirks, all of which got detected, and everyone’s been paid the trivial amounts owed in full.

CEO’s ought to be personally fined, as individuals.
We’re gaslit into thinking that CEO’s deserve huge pay packets because they have a tonne of responsibility.
OK, let’s take that argument at face value. If you’re rewarded because of the huge responsibility you have if you’re given huge bonuses when you make the company money, surely you should also have to face the consequences when things go wrong? Can’t have it both ways.
Fine them terrifyingly large amounts of money. Enough to really hurt them. The only way this will ever stop is if we make them afraid of exploiting their workers.
