What’s happened recently? Are news outlets realising travellers committing crime gets people riled up or are they committing more obvious crimes recently?
I don’t really understand why they are allowed to exist. For your culture to literally be that you never contribute to society and instead take from it anything you like but claim you should be allowed to do so because it is your ‘culture’ is entirely insane.

“It’s very unfortunate [that] the travellers are being pitted against local residents of areas but I think we need to look at the planning laws and legislation.
“I’m not saying retrospective planning is the way forward. What I’m saying to the local councils is provide what is culturally needed… If they were to work with planning inspectors and find and identify plots of land that were appropriate you wouldn’t have things like this happening.”
Blaming the public and council rather than the actual criminals, and they wonder why travellers are disliked.
Waiting for the inventible “but not all travellers are bad” and “this is just racism” posts to pop from people who have never had the misfortune to deal with Travellers.
I don’t understand why the Traveller communities don’t buy land legally, and then trade that land between them as they move on?

Invaded the spot within hours of the council shutting down for bank holiday.
Ignored the council’s emergency order to stop.
Ignored the court injunction to stop.
A second emergency amended injunction they still attempted to ignore, until police asked them to leave – without even arresting them.
They wrecked the place. Like, completely fucked it. No consequences yet again and most media reporting on this incident have very intentionally avoided even mentioning the fact they are ‘travellers’
I’ve never known a more protected bunch.
Untill they are held responsible for their actions, there’s no incentive for them to act responsibly.
Yeah just bring in the bulldozers the same way they would for anyone building without permission. This shouldn’t be that complicated. They won’t build if they know it’ll get turned to rubble.
