My grandma has a form of chronic blood cancer, she luckily had the common one that has no effect on life expectancy
PV variant in this case has a vast (average) life expectancy of 20-35 years.
We most likely won’t see her off our screens anytime soon and will probably live till well into her 80s at least
I’m not downplaying cancer or her symptoms, but polycythaemia rubra vera isn’t a killer per se.
You can live a “healthy” life with it. I say this as I was horrified for her by the title as she is a gem and I love her quirkiness, but this thankfully won’t kill her, probably.
