  1. I am hopefully optimistic. I loved everything they put out so far but with how media is these days I would not be surprised if this last film turns out to be an utter turd.

  2. This will either be an incredible hit of nostalgia, or absolute shite. Don’t think there is an inbetween. (Heh).

  3. Sell out wankers

(I’m really excited for this also)

  4. This will work well if they go quite dark with it. Armando Ianucci style. A real look at early middle-age life for people who came of age in that era. They are all in their early 40s now (well James is 39, but close enough).

Mental illness, cost of living, struggling to get a career with a largely useless degree, all that stuff.

If they try to make it like the originals (the second film already felt like milking a dead cow) but their characters are in their 40s, it’ll just flop.

  5. I wonder how they’re gonna do it.

I remember when the 2nd film came out they were all on the BBC having an interview getting asked if they would do another one.

They said no because most of the humor comes from their naivety and would look stupid as adults

  6. Haha this will likely suck.

I expect they’ll add some “multi cultural” characters just for the sake of it

Edit: I love how this is downvoted but it’s pretty accurate. There’s no way they won’t change this in so many ways to appease to the sensitive today folk.

  7. A movie now? Is this instead of the new series that I heard about

  8. I really do not care if Emily Atak or the other one who plays Carly returns tbh

  9. I think it’s a show that should be quite easy to do a film for 15 years on, the characters can still be the same or similar just in workplaces instead. It’s just whether they can pull it off.

I’m fully expecting Will to be bullied at his office job, Simon to be lusting over someone at work and changing jobs to be near her, Neil still at Asda and maybe having Jay doing odd jobs where he gets to be a sex pest in all different areas.

  10. The biggest challenge here is making the characters personalities work as adults. They are so inherently pathetic teenage boys that many people could relate to in some way. If they are exactly the same as 40 somethings it could come across as sad rather than funny and not sure how well it’ll work. However I’m still looking forward to seeing the characters again as I loved the original series

  11. If it’s anything like the new Malcolm in the middle season it’ll be trash. I’ll be pleasantly surprised otherwise

  12. I can’t imagine this will be good.

The Inbetweeners is about all the cringe shit teenage boys do/did.

I don’t need to see 40 year olds doing that same shit.

  13. It’s always been shit, I can’t see how this isn’t also going to be shit. It was aimed at mentally stunted 20-something men who are now pushing their 40s, so essentially cunt soup

  14. Is that your friend?

Yes, my inclusive, non-discriminatory, new friend, who participates in non-competitive games.

    Not a football fwend then?

    No. It’s 2026.
