  1. So it’s a good thing then? Great, thanks to the shitty pants twat over the pond.

  2. Funny how they attack the UK governments plans for this, whilst trying to cosy up to North Korea and Russia… where censorship is fucking rife.

It’s always right-leaning politicians moaning about censorship, yet when you look around the world it is predominantly right-leaning governments that censor and push propaganda.

Turn on GB News and watch it for 5 minutes.. now imagine the BBC being defunded and GB News in its place. There is the real issue.

    Right Wing = Increased Censorship.

  3. Honestly, the proposal couldn’t get a better endorsement…

  4. If Trump doesn’t like it, it’s a certified good idea. Let’s crack on with it then.

  5. We’re not America. Go away.

Just because countries like us don’t do things *exactly* like they do, we get made out to be demonic and degenerate enemies of what they stand for.

  6. If our voice is louder, their voice is quieter. They want to rule us through propaganda.

They don’t want people in the UK to be able to hear any non -mega voices and opinions.

  7. Can we just ignore this clown for a bit. He’s mainly bluster, and always lying. Why do people care what he says at all? Leave him to it.

  8. This is a country who’s automotive industry lobbied to make walking around on the streets at night illegal. Thanks to jaywalking laws you can’t go for a walk a night.

HOW FUCKING DARE THAT FUCKING SENILE NONCE CRITICISE OUR COUNTRY, HE CAN FUCK RIGHT OFF.

  9. What’s our secret? He just can’t stop talking about us!

  10. “It also warned it could undermine “independent journalists” and amount to “extraterritorial censorship of protected speech by Americans online”

    “Undermine independent journalists” ?

    JESUS FUCKING WEPT

  11. Funny how foreign countries like to impose their view, agenda and news, as though it is the right approach for a separate sovereign nation, and get all, upset when there is some pushback…

  12. Translation: Old Donny’s brain farts won’t get as much traction as they once did, which is a very bad thing indeed as far as they are concerned.

  13. Because we’ve finally woken up to the fact there’s bad actors on properly unmoderated platforms that are seeking to sow discord and division in society?

He’s annoyed because he spent time attacking his print media and wants his right-wing pressure groups to have influence here (like how anti-abortion activists are funded by anti-abortion groups in the US)

  14. Trump afraid of censorship in the UK when this is what he is doing in the US. Hypocrite

  15. This and keeping money out of elections are the most important actions of the current government. If they get this wrong then we are at risk of heading down the same shitty path the Americans have.

  16. If trump is against it that means you are doing something right

  17. Our daily dose of bollocks from our friends in America

  18. Trump being head of a political party that is actively trying to make it harder for people to vote, tells you all you need to know.

  19. Trump has no clue!

It’s absolutely correct for the government to control what media people see. Traditional controlled media should be the only accepted media.

  20. So, the contemptible clown of the circus industry thinks that something we are doing is wrong? Is that not like an absolute, unadulterated bell-end who has the IQ of a week old mouldy biscuit, along with being about as sane as a clattering ass-crack, saying that anything they don’t like (i.e: They can’t manipulate the shit out of it) is not good… remind me why this absolute moron is even in charge to begin with?

He’s causing everyone to suffer, be it with prices due to his douche-baggery, or other such actions, and he’s still allowed to cause even more issues. It’s like living in a circus.

  21. So, we’re supposed to continue allowing these social media companies to promote a bunch of accounts claiming to be journalists, with zero editorial oversight or accountability that push lies, half truths, conspiracy theories and wild misrepresentations of current events, while actively downgrading tradional media that has standards and oversight?

  22. He’s upset because he won’t be able to read trad news media, to many words

  23. The orange shit stain thinks he’s president of the whole world. He should try putting his own house in order… And rebuilding the house he’s a temporary tenant of

  24. You have to be able to admit when he actually does something right.

In this case he is. It’s orwellian and disgusting that our government wants to have a system of state approved news that it will boost to you. For them, it’s a double whammy; dictate what opinions you’re allowed to hear, whilst artificially propping up legacy media owned by their chums and donors.

Just cause a shyster is the one to criticise the idea doesn’t make it not a fucking awful one.

  25. This man is so full of shit, it spills from both ends. The twat.

  26. Thank you Trump for letting me know this is a good idea then.

  27. It takes a special sort of stupid to think giving online visibility to the media is censorship…

  28. I am against the traditional media getting pushed. It seems the argument for it rather than against is it will stop right wing propaganda by having it replaced with traditional media. However you can get that without having to push traditional media. Just make it law political content has to have a label, and then also have a law making it mandatory users can toggle it on/off. You can do with with NSFW, AutoPlay, Shorts, Custom Ads, Aggressive Algorithm etc. That would be a much better solution, allow user reports for when content is mislabelled also so it can be quickly taken down with reports and the platforms fined heavily if they don’t act fast.
