You won’t know. I also don’t see how this could scam you, the “seller” is clearly telling you. File it under “weird stuff on Kleinanzeigen” and move on
Seems legit, he even tells you not to pay. I don’t See how this could be a scam tbh
Either they really got hacked or they tried to scam you and pulled back out when you requested to pay through Kleinanzeigen. I’d never pay through Paypal Friends and Family unless I’m at the door picking something up personally and holding it in my hands already
Happened to my wife. She had an old, well rated account, and someone got in to it (not even through phishing or her giving her account details out by mistake).
She caught on when some messages popped up, it took her a few days with support to get it back.
There were 2 active sales and she left a message to both saying she was hacked. One responded somewhat nicely but with skepticism when she warned them not to pay and to contact support, the other didn’t respond at all.
So, yeah, that happens. Better to just believe them and not lose money, imo.
