Gluten-free, high-protein food items have become all the rager! Multiple brands have come up with healthy eating options and restaurants are offering ‘guilt-free’ food options as well. However, it’s worth questioning whether we’ve taken these food trends too far that all people can now eat is ice. At least that’s what fitness influencer Chirag Barjatya was apparently doing. The young entrepreneur shared a picture of X (formerly Twitter) of a plate full of ice. Captioning it that his plate if “free from tears, cruelty, protein, lactose, gluten, fats, carbs and guilt”.

Whether he was taking a dig at the diet fads or not is unclear. But the netizens had a field day with his tweet, as they dropped humorous responses to his tweet.

Social activist and filmmaker Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj questioned Barjatya whether he’d now begun eating ice for food. Meanwhile, another user noted that it was a nice meal for weight loss; “100% result guaranteed,” they wrote. A third user quipped that they have finally found a diet the netizen can commit to.

A netizen found another humorous spin; they questioned whether his meal was really as guilt-free and said, “Mummy ne danta nahi barf waste karne par (Didn’t your mother scold you for wasting ice?) Aurtray bhar ke wapis rakhi ki nahi! (Did you refill the ice tray before putting it back in the freezer).”

Some others insinuated that ice is not really a guilt-free meal since it contributed to global warming. How do you wonder?

A user wrote, “Ice is frozen in refrigerators. Its energy consumption and the release of refrigerants contribute to global warming. You should feel guilty.”

Meanwhile, another one said, “But due to using refrigeration, we’re depleting the Ozone Layer and creating issues for the future generations. Please have some guilt.”
