London’s hottest foodie event is returning to the capital for a three-day chicken wing extravaganza. That’s right, Wing Fest—the world’s largest celebration of chicken wings—is back this summer for its eleventh year.

Taking place on the final weekend of the month (July 25-27) at the London Stadium in Stratford‘s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, this madcap event brings together 45 of the very best independent traders and restaurants from all over the UK. Over the course of the weekend, it’s expected that over 500,000 chicken wings will be served, all of them competing for one of three prestigious titles: Best Buffalo Wing, Best BBQ Wing, and Best Wild Wing.

This year’a judges include Michelin-starred chef Andy Beynon; UK’s Top New Restaurant Awards’ “one to watch”, Natty Can Cook; Korean-American chef, author, and TV host Judy Joo; US comedian Tim Shropshire; and, of course, festival goers themselves. (Secret London will also be on the judging panel actually, but you’ll have to follow us on Instagram to hear more about that.)

As well as trying all the wings and casting that all-important vote, there’ll be plenty of other ways to keep you entertained, including live music, eating challenges, fairground rides, axe throwing, pyrotechnic theatrics, masterclasses, BBQ demos, and loads more. The Lava Wing Challenge claims to be the UK’s hottest wing challenge and has famously caused carnage in previous years, whilst the Flying Goose Wing Eating Competition is all about gobbling the most wings in the shortest amount of time.

VIP tickets are still available for Sunday, and these include fast track entry, weather protected VIP seats with table service, 20 wings, seven drink tokens, a signature trucker hat, a Wing Fest t-shirt, a wing rub and additional entertainment.
