The Battle of Britain Memorial in Capel-le-Ferne is looking for friendly volunteers to join their team. Roles include greeting visitors, serving in the café, helping in the shop, and supporting behind-the-scenes activities.
Volunteers must be aged 16 or over, have good mobility, and be available for a full or half day, with weekends being particularly valuable. No previous experience or specialist knowledge of history is required, as full training is provided – all that is needed is enthusiasm and a willingness to help.
A Volunteering Open Day will be held on Thursday, April 16, with morning and afternoon sessions from 10am to 12pm and 2.30pm to 4.30pm. This is a great opportunity to learn new skills, make friends, and play a part in sharing the powerful story of ‘the Few’.
While visitors are welcome to drop in on the day, it is recommended to let the team know in advance by emailing: enquiries@battleofbritainmemorial.org with your name and approximate arrival time. If you cannot attend on the day, the team is happy to discuss volunteering opportunities at another time.
Further information and registration details are available on the Battle of Britain Memorial website.
