A former Burien thrift store is getting a workout, as Planet Fitness prepares to open a new gym in the old Value Village space at 131 SW 157th Street.
As we previously reported, Value Village closed on Nov. 15, 2025.
The national fitness chain lists that location on its official website as “coming soon,” and invites prospective members to sign up for email updates, promotions and service information.
Planet Fitness has not yet listed an opening date for its Burien location on its website. The company says the new location will include exercise equipment, locker rooms, fitness training included with membership and its Black Card Spa amenities.
The new gym would bring another national tenant to downtown Burien, filling a large, empty retail space near other businesses and services along the SW 157th Street corridor.
