Coronation Street spoilers follow. This article contains discussion of grooming that readers might find distressing.
Coronation Street has continued Will Driscoll’s dark story just days after Eva Price and her new family members moved to Weatherfield. After the Driscolls moved to the cobbles to take over the Rovers Return, the soap confirmed that Ben Driscoll’s son Will was being groomed by his athletics coach Megan from their previous home in Hull.
Viewers know that Will previously went missing following a school trip and in Wednesday’s episode, Ben continued to search for his son who eventually turned up at home with Megan in tow.

Speaking to Will’s family, Megan said that she had found him sleeping in the changing rooms of a sports complex back in Hull so she drove him back to Weatherfield.
Will also lied about a love letter that Eva found while they were searching for the missing teenager, saying it was from ages ago. He was later seen meeting up with Megan in the ginnel, where she told him she would find a way for them to be together again soon.
In tonight’s episode, Will’s dark story continued after he and Liam decided not to go to school and Megan sent the teenager a text message.

As Will set off for his first day at Weatherfield High, he was alarmed when Megan called him saying she wanted to talk to him later.
At school, Will met Liam and after realising that they were neighbours, he persuaded Liam to skip school with him.
In the Rovers’ back room, Will confided in Liam about his girlfriend, but then Maggie found the boys sharing a beer. She confiscated the booze but invited Liam to stay for tea.
“It’s sort of a long distance thing,” Will told Liam, adding: “My parents don’t know about her.”
When Kirk collected Liam, Maggie accidentally let slip that Eva was responsible for Ben splitting from Will and Ollie’s mum.

Kirk called Eva a hypocrite for the way she had previously treated Maria and Eva shouted at Liam saying he couldn’t come round for dinner again. Will blamed Eva for scuppering his new friendship, saying: “Are you off your head?”
Later, Eva apologised to Will, saying: “I am aware of how difficult these past few months have been for you, okay. I know I’ve not helped with the situation.”
Will was then thrilled when Megan sent him a text that read: “Sorry for snapping. Tough day at school. Next training session will be better – promise.”
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
