“Mindful glamour” lifestyle brand BuDhaGirl has acquired two French fashion jewelry brands, Kumali and ShanShan, and is establishing  Zen Collective, a new holding company of luxury wellness brands.

Led by BuDhaGirl founder and CEO Jessica Jesse, Zen Collective will continue the evolution of Dallas-based BuDhaGirl from a single brand into a holistic luxury ecosystem, the company said. The move will also expand the brand’s European presence with operations in Paris, reflecting a “long-term vision to cultivate a global community where fashion, wellness, and intention intertwine.”

“BuDhaGirl has always been more than a brand—it’s a philosophy of life rooted in ritual and style,” Jesse, founder and CEO of both BuDhaGirl and Zen Collective, said in a statement. “The creation of Zen Collective represents our next chapter—bringing together brands that share our belief in beauty with purpose. With Kumali and ShanShan, we welcome two French houses that embody exquisite craftsmanship, emotional resonance, and the mindful pursuit of elegance.”

Next steps for Zen Collective

Kumali will be integrated as a collection within BuDhaGirl and will provide a “charming entry point to intentional living.” ShanShan will continue as “a distinct Parisian house—an emblem of refinement, artistry, and timeless style.”

Both brands will keep their creative identities while benefiting from the collective’s expertise in mindful design, storytelling, and experiential retail, Zen Collective said.

“We believe the future of luxury is intentional,” Jesse said. “Zen Collective brings us one step closer to creating a global ecosystem where wellness and design coexist, where every object carries both spirit and style, and where intention becomes everyday luxury.”

BuDhaGirl said its international strategy is “mindful expansion“—growing not only in scale but in significance. By nurturing brands that honor both heritage and innovation, Zen Collective aims to form a new standard for modern luxury that “celebrates presence, craftsmanship, consciousness, and the beauty of daily ritual.” A key value for Zen Collective is to continue to support women artisans, honor their traditions, and create opportunities for meaningful, dignified work, the company said.

Zen Collective is unveiling its physical retail prototype Spirit & Nest, a multi-brand concept store designed around intention, beauty, global brands, and everyday ritual. This first store will be located in Bainbridge Island, Washington.

About BuDhaGirl

Founded in 2013 by Jesse, BuDhaGirl is a luxury lifestyle brand rooted in the belief that beauty becomes meaningful when paired with ritual. Its All Weather Bangles have become global symbols of mindful luxury for women around the world, the company said.

Jesse, a model-turned-entrepreneur, created the brand after being inspired by the Sai Sin bracelets distributed by Buddhist monks in Thailand.

The company has gone far beyond the bracelets that started it all. In 2024, we wrote about BuDhaGirl entering the sparkling wine market.

BuDhaGirl products offer a sensory experience that contributes to well-being, the company said. The brand honors tradition while reimagining how we can live with wellness and intention each day, the company said.
