Fitness can take many different forms.

For some its cardio, for others it’s playing a sport.

For one community in Jacksonville, Illinois, their fitness comes during a weekly session called “Stronger Together.”

Stronger Together is a free one-hour program every Tuesday at Fitness World Health Club. It is designed for those living with special needs or disabilities.

“It’s more than just physical fitness. They’re coming out, and they’re feeling like they’re a part of the gym, which was really our goal from day one here at Fitness World,” Fitness World Health Club Manager and Facilities Coordinator Ryne Turke said.

The program has been going on for nearly a year now, with some sessions drawing as many as 75 participants.
