Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale has teased details of Dylan Penders’s return to the Dales with a brand new clip, though his comeback won’t go smoothly.

Dylan had previously formed a bond with April Windsor following their initial meeting in the big city earlier this year, with the character eventually leaving the village in March following a heated storyline involving April’s father, Marlon Dingle.

After an absence of over four months, Dylan will make his return to the Dales during next week’s scenes, with the character reuniting with April as she spots camping in the nearby shrubbery. Despite the mood being cheerful, Dylan is harbouring a secret.

Unbeknownst to April, Dylan had committed a break-in at Butler’s Farm, sustaining a nasty injury in the process as Kyle Winchester stabbed him with a pitchfork. In the clip below, you can see the fateful encounter in the barn – will April discover what Dylan has done?

Moira, who can be seen protecting Kyle, is enraged by the attempt on her land, and later goes on a furious rampage in which she targets Joe Tate. Amid her fury, she unwittingly injures Lydia Dingle and is arrested.

This has a knock-on effect throughout the family, with Cain urging Lydia to stay quiet. Sam isn’t particularly thrilled by his half-brother’s threats towards his wife, and confronts him over the matter.

This leads to a particularly heated discussion, with the below clip showing Cain and Sam at loggerheads as they each strive to do right by their family. Cain issues an ultimatum – Sam either needs to back the Dingles or the Tates; which will he choose?

Lastly, the storyline involving John Sugden will take a new twist as he discovers that his half-brother Robert is harbouring a secret. Wanting to detract attention away from his own crimes, John hatches a devious plan.

In a newly released clip, John can be seen approaching Ross Barton in the village, teasing that he has some dirt on Robert. With Ross pressuring him to confess all, it couldn’t possibly be that John has learned of Robert’s theft of the Bartons drug supply…
