Chefs and foodies alike in Dallas-Fort Worth can look forward to the second annual Shef Food + Wine festival this fall. Taking place in Grand Prairie, Dallas chef Tiffany Derry and business partner Tom Foley are back at it again with a festival full of wines, finger-licking bites, and celebrity chefs.

Ahead of the first Shef Food + Wine festival last year, Derry told The Dallas Morning News she wanted the “Dallas area on the map as a culinary hub for other people around the country.”

From Oct. 24 to Oct. 26, Shef Food + Wine will packed with events, starting with a restaurant takeover on Friday. Derry’s restaurant, Radici Wood Fired Grill, will provide a four-course dinner from “powerhouse chefs.” Or, guests can also choose to attend the Wine and Whiskey Tasting hosted by beverage specialists Robin McBride and Fawn Weaver. That’s followed by an after party in the afternoon.

The next day will feature a pickleball tournament, accompanied by cocktails and wines. And, to celebrate the food, drinks and culinary talent, the grand tasting event will close Saturday night’s festivities.

Several chefs that will be in attendance this year include Top Chef competitors and restaurateurs Silvia Barban and Tavel Bristol-Joseph, as well as Top Chef Season 22 winner Tristen Epps-Long.

Although many enjoy the meat and mead of the festival, Shef Food + Wine also collaborates with the Texas Restaurant Foundation to support RECIPE, a T2D workforce development platform to promote hospitality. Scholarships will also be awarded at the festival to aspiring culinary students in the Dallas area.

“We’re bringing together some of the best chefs in the industry to celebrate great food while creating real, lasting impact in our community.” Derry said.

A small amount of tickets will also be given to hospitality professionals to enjoy the event.

Tickets start at $15 depending on event and are available on Shef Food + Wine’s website, sheffoodandwine.com.
