Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street’s Dev Alahan makes his triumphant return next week – but his arrival comes just after a suspicious robbery at the shop.
With tensions running high in the family, Bernie Winter is certain that Aadi is hiding something about the strange circumstances behind a theft at the corner shop.
But as Dev bursts back through the doors of No.7, will he pick up on the weird atmosphere and question what’s going on?
“Dev’s home to a family in crisis,” our Corrie source explains.
“He was hoping for a quiet night in with a pizza but instead there’s tension bubbling away. First of all, he needs to know why the shop’s been robbed…”

Dev’s return to the Street comes at a crisis point for Bernie and Aadi as they try to deal with the fallout of the corner shop robbery, which happens earlier that day.
But for pressured Aadi, he’s also trying to hide his involvement with Lauren Bolton’s drugging at his party. Although his efforts to keep her sweet, and make himself look like a good guy, have given her the wrong idea…
“Lauren’s got a real crush on Aadi,” our insider continues. “He’s been so sweet, helping her move and supporting her recovery. She doesn’t suspect he has an ulterior motive. She’s seeing him in a new light.”
After Aadi’s kindness, Lauren invites him over to have tea with her and Frankie, apologising for being off with him when he tried to help her. Aadi accepts, but he’s completely oblivious that Lauren’s developing feelings for him…

Later that week, Aadi has more serious things to contend with when the shop is robbed.
Aadi is helpless, shouting as a masked intruder dashes out the shop but no one comes to his rescue. He tells Asha how the lad threatened him with a wrench and forced him to empty the safe, making off with £6,000.
Comforting her brother, Asha reassures him it’s not his fault and that he’s a victim of a crime, but all Aadi can think about is the insurance payout. As he relays the robbery to PC Jess, Bernie starts to suspect there’s something odd about his version of events…

“Bernie can tell Aadi is lying,” our source points out. “He’s very cagey and there’s something shifty about his demeanour. Like the disastrous party, Bernie knows there’s more to this…”
When Dev gets home, he’s keen to catch up on what he’s missed, but is he prepared to hear the truth? And if Aadi is lying about the robbery, what else is he hiding?
