In Full: Police deliver statement following anti-Semitic firebomb attack in Golders Green
Counter-terror police are investigating an anti-Semitic firebomb attack feared to have been orchestrated by Iran, The Telegraph understands.
The Metropolitan Police will provide an update on the attack, in which four ambulances were set on fire outside a London synagogue, on Monday morning.
Scotland Yard are treating the arson as a hate crime, and officers are searching for three suspects seen on CCTV approaching the ambulances in Golders Green at around 1.45am on Monday.
Israeli embassy sources told the Telegraph that the firebombing had the hallmarks of an Iran-backed attack.
The arson will raise concerns that Tehran is mounting a concerted campaign of attacks across Europe following similar incidents in recent weeks.
