PM refuses to resign and ‘plunge the country into chaos’ after punishing local elections
Sir Keir Starmer has admitted the Labour Party has “made unnecessary mistakes” – but has pledged to continue as PM.
It follows Labour losing more than 250 seats so far in local council elections in England, as well as control of ten councils.
Challenged by Sky’s Beth Rigby on whether he will stand as PM at the next general election, Sir Keir insisted: “Yes, there’s a five-year term I was elected to do. I intend to see that through.”
