Chaos is unfolding in Westminster as pressure mounts on Prime Minister Keir Starmer from all sides. Labour’s internal crisis appears to be deepening after reports that multiple Labour-affiliated unions are refusing to back the Prime Minister, while a growing number of Labour MPs are now openly calling for him to step aside. According to reports from Downing Street, 11 Labour-linked unions are expected to issue a joint statement, with claims emerging that the party may soon need to begin preparations to elect a new leader.

GB News’ Ellie Costello reports live from Downing Street with the latest on what many are now calling a full-scale Labour civil war. As tensions escalate behind closed doors, questions are growing over whether Keir Starmer can survive the mounting political backlash. Meanwhile, the SNP have dramatically intensified the pressure by calling for a vote of no confidence against the Prime Minister, adding to the sense of crisis engulfing Westminster.

Deputy Political Editor Tom Harwood analyses the significance of these extraordinary developments, including the bombshell intervention from Labour-affiliated unions who now say “it is clear” that Keir Starmer will not lead Labour into the next general election. With divisions widening across the party and confidence rapidly deteriorating, this could mark one of the most serious leadership crises Labour has faced in years. Stay tuned for the latest breaking updates, reaction, and political analysis from Downing Street.

  1. The Unions are not happy that Starmer as not freed palestine yet like they promised
Recognizing it is not the same starmer As for the unions they support guys like Ameen Hadi who beats women and works for unison

  2. THE IRONY .. The man/STARMER who controls the Labour Party a "SIR", the epitome of an UPPER-CLASS SNOB in charge of the Working Man's LABOUR PARTY ¿?¿
THE Founders must be TURNING IN THEIR GRAVES AT SUCH BETRAYAL.

  3. The problem with a general election is how it works in terms of FPTP. We have seen in previous elections where Reform and UKIP garnered millions of votes, but only returned a single-digit seats. Whereas the Liberal Democrats had fewer votes than Reform but ended up with far more seats. And that's how unfair FPTP really is as it will only be of benefit to the two main parties and the LibDems sniffing round for a coalition.

  4. NOTHINGS BEEN ACHIEVED BY STREETING HE HAD THOUSANDS OV PEOPLE WAITING FOR OPERATIONS WIPED OF THE WAITING LIST "FACT"EVIL.
