Grooming Gang Latest: Inquiry to launch investigations in London and Bradford ‘a WATERSHED moment!’
A major national inquiry into grooming gangs has announced its first local investigations, with Oldham, Bradford and Keighley, and London selected as the opening areas under scrutiny. Led by Baroness Anne Longfield, the inquiry will examine the actions of central government, local authorities, police forces, the NHS and other public bodies to determine why victims of child sexual exploitation were repeatedly failed. The investigation comes after decades of reviews, reports and scandals that identified widespread safeguarding failures across multiple towns and cities.
Campaigners, victims and politicians have reacted strongly to the announcement. Solicitor David Greenwood, who has represented hundreds of survivors, welcomed the inquiry but warned that authorities may have resisted previous investigations because of the scale of the failures involved. Meanwhile, Keighley and Ilkley MP Robbie Moore described the decision as a “watershed moment” in the pursuit of justice, truth and accountability, praising victims and survivors who spent years fighting to have their voices heard. The inquiry will also revisit areas including Rotherham, Rochdale, Telford and Newcastle to assess whether lessons identified in previous investigations were ever properly implemented.
The inquiry has already identified more than 800 recommendations from reviews dating back to the 1990s and says there has been significant inconsistency in how they have been acted upon. Investigators will also examine the role of technology and social media platforms in facilitating child exploitation, as well as the influence of culture, ethnicity and religion on decision-making by public authorities. Baroness Longfield says the inquiry’s goal is to uncover why these catastrophic failures occurred, hold institutions and individuals to account, and ensure that future generations of children are protected from similar abuse. National accountability hearings are expected to begin before the end of the year.

Google labor P.I.E 1970
Why not Sheffield? That should have been on the list as well, as of the recent news
Andy burnham turned his back the first time let's see if he's fit to run this country
This fluffy announcement, is because of Rupert Lowes publication of the Grooming Gangs Scandal documents.
The heinous cover up by the authorities, and MSM is a stain on the United Kingdom.
It's still happening today, harsh prison sentences need to handed out, to those that swept it under the carpet. Tory and Labour alike..
Asking the very people who ignored it for decades to investigate it ?
This should be nicknamed "the burnham inquiry".
Instead of UK funds going to corrupt Ukraine, this is where the funds should go.
No one will be held accountable, no racial profiling will be allowed. It was a struggle to get an enquiry in the face of Labour and Cons opposition and there is nothing to suggest anything will change, this is basically theatre.
Khan and the MET won't allow a full independent inquiry into the Grooming gangs in London as Khan won't want to be named nor will Lord Ali Starmers bum chum
London???? It's not possible? !!!! Sadick can't, said there are no grooming gangs ??? Oh wait, maybe he's on "a list"
RUPERT LOWE DID THIS. WE THANK RUPERT LOWE I CONTRIBUTED LOTS CONTRIBUTED
The watershed moment will be when the perpetrators are exposed hung drawn and quartered or at least deport the trash politicians are nothing but accomplices aiding and abetting it all
Brits are silly. Grooming gangs inquiry actually happened only under Starmer. For 40 years and more, Saville, Andrew, Harris, construction workers, kebab shop workers, teachers, policemen…men were fvcking children and no public member could stop it.
Why?
Manchester need to be included see if Burnham is implicated.
None of this would be happening if Rupert Lowe hadn't forced their hand. None of it.
Rupert Lowe
They are going to try to use this to discredit Rupert Lowe's, I bet you that's the only reason they are suddenly interested
Using child abuse to score political points is sickening enough, but the very same people are actively part of the epstein grooming gang cover up. Tells you all you need to know about these degenerates, they are OK with child SA when the billionaires do it. Revolting people.
Sad IQ will be absolutely terrified as his name will no doubt feature prominently as an enabler and sweeper of evidence under carpets.
Oldham! ask the victims and families about Burnham who they are quickly installing as PM. He covered it up . Anyone thinking cover up again. Labour investigating Labour! Sounds like the blame is going to be levelled at social media to completely censor it already listening to this report!
Living in Bradford this hes been needed for a long time .
Thanks to Rupert Lowe for making the report and also Asmongold for releasing it on a 8hr+ stream .
They wont do a thing and blame twitter
TALK… TALK… TALK
Over 11 year later
TALK… TALK… TALK
Not one police officer arrested. Not one government employee arrested?
Bloody hell how long🙄
Hats off to Rupert Lowe. The topic is now a worldwide issue. Nobody expects true justice from the government inquiry.
Unless people lose jobs and charges are brought against everyone who tried to cover all of this up then it's just theatre, police civil servant human rights lawyers government employees they are all knee deep in this conspiracy, they all conspired so jail time is required but I won't hold my breath
I didn't think there were any in London 🤔
Why has nothing been done? It’s obvious. Misogyny throughout our society. It’s a simple answer.
God bless Susan Hall
Is this still only going back to 2010 for now? There’s a lot of years before that. I hope they’ll be investigated too, especially when there’s links to current people in power.
But the mayor khan has said repeatedly there are no Pakistani grooming gangs in London 🤔
