Donald Trump says he’s ‘very disappointed’ with NATO as he arrives for summit

Donald Trump has been speaking to reporters in Ankara after arriving for the NATO summit.

Asked by a reporter if he was satisfied with the alliance’s progress on defence spending while meeting Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the US president says: “We’re going to see. I was very disappointed with NATO.

“Frankly, if it weren’t held in Turkey, where my friend happens to be a very strong leader… it’s possible that I wouldn’t have attended.”

It was “a big thing” to have NATO hold their summit in Turkey, Trump says.

  1. I wonder when Trump will realise that Europe, Canada, Australia and more than few other countries are not impressed or remotely satisfied with Trump and he should simply go away and stay away. How on earth he got elected twice is beyond me.

  2. So when and who is going to tell tRump what NATO is. It's a defense agreement not an ATTACT ANOTHER NATION agreement. tRump attacked Iran we didn't ask anyone else to attack Iran with us…..Tell him what NATO is someone. OMG He is so stupid
