As the smoke clears, the Fontainebleau forest takes stock of its destruction • FRANCE 24 English

Approaching 2,000 hectares of the iconic and fragile Fontainebleau forest have burned out with around 950 firefighters supported by aerial teams still continuing to battle the flames. While the fire has been contained, it has yet to be extinguished four days after it broke out. French President Emmanuel Macron is due to visit the site.

  1. Previously, during large-scale fires in Europe, they asked to send Russian Be 200 amphibious aircraft, which successfully coped with these fires, but now the Europeans prefer to burn to the ground, they cannot and cannot create their own similar aircraft.
