FRANCE 24’s Carys Garland met with firefighters in the Gironde region where the worst of the fires have wrought destruction in France’s southwestern region. Firefighters are in a race against time, working round the clock to put out numerous spotfires, many that have reignited, ahead of more heatwave conditions forecast for Wednesday and Thursday.
