Pentagon ‘preparing for weeks-long ground operation’ inside Iran as US strikes regime’s navy

The Pentagon is bracing for a potential ground operation in Iran, which could take “weeks” or “a couple of months”, it has been reported.

Thousands of US soldiers and Marines are pouring into the Middle East – a dramatic military escalation set to deliver a “final blow” to the Islamic Regime.

This comes as US airstrikes targeted IRGC Navy boats in a new round of attacks.

  14. It seems that anti Trump hatred is more important than the plight of the poor Iranians who have been slaughtered for years by the regime. The glee that is expressed by the left at any mishap or perceived mishap by Trump is nauseating. His motives may be unclear by wouldn’t it be great if the people of Iran had a chance of living a better life.

  16. I don’t even know what winning a war means anymore. Is it overthrowing a regime? Is it occupancy? Is it unconditional surrender? Is it a temporary thing or a permanent thing? Is it an attritional thing based solely on casualty figures? Is it based on arbitrary objectives? Or is it just propaganda where one side controls the narrative?

    I do not know how this conflict will pan out, but I do know that that will depend how deep Trump wants to go. Therein lays the issue, the current incumbent to the US presidency lacks the political sophistication needed for the job and I can only foresee a disaster or an embarrassment or possibly both.
