Spain – Italy: Dispute grows over migration between EU countries • FRANCE 24 English
The EU says the tit-for-tat border restrictions between Spain and Italy are temporary and will have no lasting impact on the Schengen zone. Spain began checking travellers from Italy in retaliation for similar controls imposed by Rome after a surge of migrants into Spain’s North African enclave of Ceuta. Madrid says most of those migrants were swiftly returned and has accused Italy of allowing “persistent irregular migration”. France24 correspondent Sarah Morris tells us the latest from Spain.

Why would an Italian have a visa to visit Spain ?
The EU Open Border policy needs to be scrapped, for the benefit of all…..
The 'adults' in charge of making 'grown up' decisions like children.
The No. 1 responsibility of any state is to protect its citizens. The Italian government is doing just that.
Of course they could have handled it better, but the hateful right wing fear mongering comments from Italy were just the typical reaction you would expect. Instead of informing about the reasons and the responsibilities of the US, Isr*el and Morocco for this and staying together as the European Union against foreign influence, Italy lied repeatedly about how these people would now come to the European mainland. The enemies are not the people who were used as political pawns, and certainly not the European partner Spain.
Dumbest dispute ever
So now non-European migrants are officially more welcome in some EU countries, than EU citizens themselves. I think we're going to be paying CO2 tax for every breath we take very soon.
