The west spent 20 years, thousands of lives and more than $2 trillion replacing the Taliban in Afghanistan with the Taliban in Afghanistan.

Five years later, armoured vehicles took part in a parade through the capital Kabul to celebrate their “victory day”.

The Taliban says it has brought back security, but Afghan women tell us they are being erased from education, jobs, and hope itself.

With the Taliban’s rule have come a deepening humanitarian crisis and isolation from much of the rest of the world. Women face comprehensive repression, with millions excluded from school and almost completely erased from public life.

  1. This is not our problem, sorry. I'm old enough to remember the thousands of young lads from the West off-ed in places like Tora Bora and Kandahar that none of us had ever heard of before.. More money than the entire Marshall plan for Europe spent to rebuild Afghanistan in our image only for Afghanistan to revert to what it was as soon as we left.

    As it turns out not every culture is the same nor value the same things. I know big SHOCKER for the mass immigration fanatics at C4.

    Perhaps Western feminists could help instead of imagining new things like 'manspreading' to be upset about.
