How a glacier collapse is believed to have caused Nepal-Tibet disaster β’ FRANCE 24 English
A huge piece of ice that fell thousands of metres from a glacier into a river below is believed to have unleashed the catastrophic floods in Nepal and Tibet that have killed at least 180 people. More than 1,300 people remain missing following the disaster, including foreigners and pilgrims, and hundreds have been displaced across the Himalayan region.
