That purported exposé concerning a certain Justice of the Brazilian Supreme Court is, one rather suspects, nothing more than a meticulously orchestrated hatchet-job, conceived and disseminated under the guiding hand of Mr Trump himself. The motive is transparent enough to any observer possessed of even modest powers of discernment: President Lula, alas, declines to align himself with the MAGA dispensation, and is therefore marked for political evisceration.
The preferred alternative, one gathers, is the elevation of young Bolsonaro to the Planalto, an arrangement that would, no doubt, restore a more congenial order of things in Brasília from the vantage of Mar-a-Lago. How very convenient.
