Singer Becky Hill rails against water pollution as campaigners deliver petition to No 10
Campaigners are calling for urgent reform of the water industry over claims more than 600 people reported feeling sick after swimming in England’s rivers, lakes and seas over the summer.
Surfers Against Sewage says waste was pumped into designated bathing spots for more than 2,000 hours during the summer holidays.
Singer Becky Hill, who has joined the campaign, told Sky News the situation was an “absolute scandal”.
