Chancellor says UK economy is recovering after paying ‘Truss penalty’
The chancellor has promised that next month’s budget will show his commitment to “fiscal discipline”.
In his first speech in the role, John Healey claimed the UK is “turning a corner” after the Liz Truss mini budget of 2022, and vowed to work with devolved regions to reverse a “weak growth trajectory”.

Thuggish behaviour from the Labour regime.
All the Local businesses have shut down, only nail salons, barber shops, charity and mobility shops, vape shops and phone repairs left these days….too little too late unfortunately
Recovering, seriously? FU , i can't even afford to pay for travel to work.
TAX THE ULTRA-WEALTHY on EVERY penny of UK MADE PROFITS! Close tax Evasion loopholes. STOP handing the ultra-wealthy £80bn a year of OUR taxes in levies and subsidies.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
Interest payments are higher, but so are welfare payments, reduce government spending not raise tax!
