Palestinian ambassador to the UK welcomes decision to sanction illegal West Bank settlements
Israel says it will shut the UK consulate in Jerusalem after Britain sanctioned illegal West Bank settlements.
Israel’s foreign minister said it was moving to close the UK’s only outpost in the West Bank and Gaza – and was barring 12 elected UK officials from entering the country.
The move triggered a furious response from Israel – a government spokesman told Sky’s Yalda Hakim Israel was now standing “alone”.
