Zelenskyy tells Trump he’s ready to meet Putin to end Ukraine war

Prime minister Andy Burnham says he discussed “issues on trade” and “the Falklands” in his first face-to-face meeting with Donald Trump.

The pair also discussed immigration, with Burnham saying he spoke about his “commitment to get [immigration] to a controlled approach”.

Burnham also says he welcomed Trump’s statement earlier that progress is possible on peace for Ukraine, and says that the UK is “ready to play our part in the Middle East” conflict.
