Monday 31 August – Episode 6764 1. Ste relapses

Ste is annoyed when he spots Jonah talking to James and makes sure to warn him off his ex. Jonah offers Ste a drink to calm his nerves, unaware that he is an alcoholic – and vulnerable Ste relapses.
After drinking again, Ste heads to Casa McQueen and publicly accuses James of killing Rex. Cindy rushes to get involved in the row, while Warren tries to deescalate things. James later looks after Ste – but does he have his best intentions at heart?
2. Dee Dee makes amends

At school, headteacher Nancy has an MS relapse. Dee Dee is privy to the incident so immediately takes action and calls Abigail for help. However, Abigail is cold towards Dee Dee, for reasons we don’t yet know.
Later, Dee Dee apologises to Maddox for abruptly ending their relationship, and the pair make up. Will things be smooth sailing for the teens going forward?

3. Donny is suspicious

Detective Donny is determined to get to the truth about something and has some big questions to ask his daughter. But does he want answers from Gemma or Vicky, and about what?
Tuesday 1 September – Episode 67654. Nancy gets a visitor

Nancy is finding it difficult to rest in hospital after her MS relapse. However, she gets a visit from her new friend and colleague Abigail, who comes bearing a lavish gift basket.
As the school term begins, Dee Dee is nervous about seeing Abigail, who has just been hired as a new teacher. Sure enough, Abigail gets Dee Dee to read out a chapter in her English lesson. Why is Dee Dee so concerned?
5. Ste wants answers

Leah panics when she realises that her dad never came home last night. She eventually finds Ste, who is hungover and feeling guilty about what happened, but still set on getting to the truth about what happened to Rex. Leah asks Imran for his help, but he is still hurt by her affair and refuses.
Meanwhile, as Mercedes gets going with her new business venture, Jenson is supportive while Warren has his doubts. Gemma feels that the walls are closing in, so she confides in Warren.
6. Lucas is back

Lucas returns to the village following his prison stint, and it is revealed that he is friends with newcomer Xander. He tries to stop Xander investigating the truth about what really happened with his dad, Martin, who confessed to killing Rex – but Xander finds Gemma and accuses her of being a murderer!
Later, Leah and Lucas have an emotional reunion as the siblings see one another for the first time in years.
7. Gemma sets a plan into motion

As Warren and Gemma team up to enlist Jenson’s help, Mercedes is suspicious and fears that her partner could be involved in something dodgy again.
Later, Gemma presents Mercedes with a spa day voucher. Mercedes decides to invite Ste and Leela, hoping that the trip will cheer up Ste. But the drama is only just beginning…
Wednesday 2 September – Episode 67668. Leela and Mercedes are in danger

As Mercedes, Leela and Ste leave for the spa break, it becomes clear that Gemma’s sinister plan is to get rid of Mercedes for good. She sends her men to follow the trio’s car, while she uses the opportunity to spend some time alone with Warren.
Ste asks the others to stop at the service station so he can use the bathroom, but the men tasked with snatching Mercedes remain in close range. While waiting for Ste, Leela and Mercedes have a gossip about family and relationships, but they don’t realise that they are in danger. How will this situation unfold?
9. Lucas opens up

After reuniting with his sister Leah, Lucas has some explaining to do. While Ste potentially finds himself in danger alongside Mercedes and Leela, what will come of the candid chat between his kids?
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
