Coronation Street reveals the identity of Theo Silverton’s killer this summer amid a tense police investigation that’s full of twists and turns.
The soap resolved one long-running mystery this week as Theo was revealed to be the dead body found by Betsy Swain on the day of Carla and Lisa’s wedding.

Now the focus shifts to who the culprit is, as Lisa and Kit Green team up at the police station and try to solve the case.
Ultimately, though, it’ll be viewers who stay one step ahead as we discover the killer’s identity…
Speaking to Digital Spy about the big reveal, Corrie’s producer Kate Brooks confirmed: “It’s later in the summer. We reveal to the audience who it is during late June/early July.
“There’s lots of people who you’ll definitely think it could be. It’s a massive story with so many different twists and different offshoots.
“You’ll think you’re watching one thing, and then it diverts into a completely new story territory. It’ll definitely keep people guessing!”

Brooks also shared some early insight into the suspects, hinting that viewers may want to pay particular attention to Todd Grimshaw and his loved ones.
Todd had been trying to rebuild his life after months of abuse from Theo behind closed doors, but the scheming scaffolder stood in his way at every turn. Did someone lose patience by deciding to get Theo out of the picture?
“Obviously, there are lots of people who are in the frame for Theo’s death – George, Todd, Summer, Carl. He’s created a lot of enemies,” Brooks noted.
“Gary’s another one who’s in the mix, as he’s really been betrayed by Theo. When we watched that episode where everyone realised the extent of what had been happening to Todd and the level of abuse, we kind of saw all the suspects there!”

“Moving forward, it’s Todd rebuilding his life,” Brooks continued. “This is a guy who’s been subjected to the most horrific abuse. He’s traumatised and grieving. We explore how he tries to rebuild his life, while still struggling to comprehend the fact that this man has been murdered by potentially somebody he knows – or maybe even him!
“It’s an interesting mix of ‘whodunit’ thriller story and Todd’s family and friends: George, Christina, Summer and Sarah, all rallying around Todd to make sure that he’s okay and bring them back together.
“What he’s been through at the hands of Theo has been such an ordeal for him. For him to get that love and trust in people again, it was very important to show that with Todd.”
Coronation Street is working on Todd and Theo’s story with support from Galop, the LGBTQ+ anti-abuse charity. For more information and resources, visit the charity’s website or contact the national helpline on 0800 999 5428.
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
